We have a legal (Children’s Act 1989) and moral duty of care to protect all children and young adults involved in horse activities.
The BEF Safeguarding and Protecting Children course outlines the roles and the responsibilities that we and other BEF member organisations have in our duty of care towards young people, and includes guidelines on protecting young people and promoting good practice within the Equine Industry.
This online safeguarding and protecting children course is available as a refresher to Registered instructors who have completed a face to face course after 1 July 2011
